Leroy Hair

Leroy Hair, 84, of North Charleston, SC, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017. His funeral service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Hanahan Baptist Church, 1262 Belvedere Drive at 12:00 pm. Interment with military honors to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Hanahan Baptist Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Leroy was born May 2, 1932 in Barnwell, SC, son of the late Gaston and Essie Hair. Leroy retired from the US Army and his career in the air infantry included three tours in Vietnam. He was a member of Hanahan Baptist Church and he was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by wife of 52 years, Erika Ruth Hair of North Charleston, SC; son, Leroy W. Hair and his wife Cathy, of Summerville, SC; sister, Hazel Collins of North Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, R. J. Hair, Jr., Coy Hair and Raini Hair; great-grandchildren: Wyatt Hair, Leroy Hair III, Isabella Hair, Gaston Hair, Finley Hair, Addie Hylton, Scarlett Rose Hair, Gage Hylton.
