Leora Lee Banis, 82, of Summerville, SC, died Monday, August 12, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Banis was born June 6, 1931 in Holyoke, CO, daughter of the late George Gottleib Naggatz and the late Elsie Marie Kropp Naggatz. She was a former employee working with computer records at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and later in a family business. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, enjoyed needlework, church activities and reading.
She is survived by her daughter, Fran Price of Moncks Corner, SC, son-in-law, Curt Price of Moncks Corner, SC; grandsons, Scott A. Price of North Charleston, SC and Kevin L. Price and his wife, Beth S. Price of Moncks Corner, SC; great-grandchildren: David Foster Price, Madeline Rose Price and Lily Irene Price all of Moncks Corner, SC; two stepsons and their families, Drew Banis of Charleston, SC and Ernie Banis of Folly Beach, SC; former husband, George E. Huff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Banis.
