Leonore Ida Martha Spangerberg Barbour, 88, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina, widow of George Barbour, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 300 Palm Blvd, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Beaufort National Cemetery. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Leonore was born February 6, 1929 in Goerlitz, Germany, daughter of the late Paul E. Spangerberg and the late Margaret Bachmayer Spangerberg.

She is survived by her sister, Isolde S. Gericke (Klaus) of Munich, Germany; her sister-in-law, Barbara Hoover of Des Moines, IA; her niece, Lori Wright (Greg) of Lee Summit, MO; her nephew, Dale Hoover (Nedra) of Mitchellville, IA; and her brother-in-law, Bill Barbour of Marshaltown, IA.
