Leonora McCormick Spivey, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Edward Franklin Spivey, Sr. entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 27, 2021. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 30, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday in the Downtown Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Leonora was born September 8, 1929 in Conway, South Carolina, daughter of the late Alexander McCormick and Rosabelle Ray McCormick. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Leonora was a devout woman of faith and a wonderful wife and mother. She worked at Parris Island Federal Credit Union in Beaufort.

Leonora is survived by her husband of 74 years, Edward; daughter, Joyce Jones both of Charleston, SC; grandsons: Blue Spivey (Tammi) and Brett Spivey (Megan); granddaughter, April Spivey; and great-grandchildren: Alexis Spivey, Aiden Spivey, Sally Spivey, Nora Spivey and Ashton Coker.

She was predeceased by her son, Edward "Buddy" Spivey, Jr., sister, Irma Kline, and brother, James McCormick.

Leonora was much loved and will be missed.
