Leonard "Lenny" Joseph Delson, 88, of Boca Raton, Florida, husband of Arlene Selsky Delson died Sunday, August 14, 2016. Funeral service will be held graveside Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Family will be sitting shiva and accepting visitors at 1033 Kingwood Drive on James Island 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tue, Wed and Thursday.
Lenny was born February 2, 1928 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, son of the late Harry and Lena Savalovitz Delson. He was a WWII vet, hotel and restaurant owner and ran a successful commercial furniture refinishing business for over 30 years. Lenny was known for his sense of humor and love of marine life and Jazz. He helped found the Central PA friends of Jazz and one of the first scuba diving clubs in the US.
In addition to his wife, Arlene, he is survived by his two sons, Norm Delson (Evaline) of Charleston, SC and David Delson of Boca Raton, FL; a sister, Anna Namoff of Miami, FL; and two granddaughters, Nathalie and Sydney Delson of Charleston, SC.
