Leonard Koster Cuzzell, Sr., 89, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Vera Grayson Cuzzell entered into eternal rest Monday, May 2, 2016. His funeral service will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Leonard was born April 10, 1927 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Charles L. Cuzzell, Sr., and Marie Koster Cuzzell. He was WWII U.S. Army Veteran where he served with the 14th Port Detachment in Tidworth, England. He retired from CXS Railroad after 44 years of service as a Railroad Conductor. Leonard was a member of the Charleston Rifle Club, Elks Club, VFW 112, and the Islander Shag Club.
He is survived by his two sons, Timothy Michael Cuzzell, and Terry W. Cuzzell (Roxanne D. Cuzzell) both of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Lauren R. Fraysher (Michael), and Jami L. Cuzzell. Leonard is preceded in death by his son, Leonard K. Cuzzell, Jr., three brothers, two sisters, and his special friend Joan Osburn.
