Leona Marie Lookabill

Leona Marie Lookabill, 67, of North Charleston, SC, wife of John D. Lookabill died Tuesday, April 30, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the Cathedral Of Praise, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road at 11:00 am. A private interment will be held at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Mrs. Lookabill was born May 16, 1945 in Honolulu, HI, daughter of the late Edward Eybs and the late Dorothy Pfuntner Eybs. She was the former Assistant Director at the Charleston Air Force Base Commissary. Leona was an avid bowler and golfer. She was a member of the Charleston Area Bowling Hall of Fame, President of Ladies Night Out Bowling League, and member of Wescott Ladies Golf League.

She will be deeply missed by her family including her husband of 36 years, John D. Lookabill of North Charleston, SC; son, Ray O. Phillips Jr. of Summerville, SC; daughter, Melody L. Phillips of Summerville, SC; step-daughters: Diana L. Ricker and her husband Casey of Groton, CT, Vicki S. Watson and her husband Kenneth of Murphy, NC, Terry A. Donaldson and her husband Dan of Crystal River, FL; step-mother, Marie Eybs of Doylestown, PA; sisters: Leslie Tanaka of Honolulu, HI, Lani Knapp and her husband Rick of Wellsville, NY, Evey Bowser and her husband Chuck of Wellsville, NY; brother, Russell Vincent of Las Vegas, NV; half-brother, Eddie Eybs Jr. of Doylestown, PA; 13 Grandchildren; 10 Great-grandchildren and her best friend and hip sister: Bettie Boggs of North Charleston.
