Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 18, 2010, Leo Hartness DuBose, husband of Vickie Lowder DuBose. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. DuBose are invited to attend his funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at two o'clock. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., this Tuesday afternoon from five until seven o'clock. Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 413 Geddes Avenue, Charleston, SC 29407.
Mr. DuBose was born on February 16, 1917 in Great Falls, South Carolina, son of the late Leo Huggins DuBose and the late Mable Sanders DuBose. He was a retired Electrical Inspector with the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a former Aviator and Flight Instructor. Mr. DuBose was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, member of Huguenot Society and Sons of the American Revolution.
Surviving are his wife Vickie of Charleston; son, John Hartness DuBose and his wife Christine of Ravenel; and a sister, Carolyn DuBose Ridgeway of Greenville, SC.
