Lenora Ann Rickenbaker Hamer, 91, of Florence, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 3:30 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel at 232 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401. The family will receive friends Sunday at 2:30 pm until the hour of service. Interment will follow at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. - Downtown Chapel.

Lenora was born December 18, 1934 in Orangeburg , South Carolina, daughter of the late Aiken Cleveland Rickenbaker and the late Norma Olivia Smoak. Mrs. Hamer graduated from Orangeburg High School in June of 1953, and then went on to join the Women's Army Corp in March of 1954 until March of 1956. She worked at the Pentagon in Washington, DC and continued her career at The Charleston Naval Base and Charleston Air Force Base. She met the love of her life, William "Bill" Reynolds Hamer, and married him on March 9, 1968. She lived in Florence, SC since 1993, where she was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Olivia Hamer. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and husband.
