Lee Calhoun Hunt
June 6, 1926 — January 9, 2015
Lee Calhoun Hunt, 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Vivian Hunter Hunt entered into eternal rest Friday, January 9, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lee was born June 6, 1926 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of John Calhoun Hunt and Mami Johnson Hunt. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the Korean War. He retired as a conductor with the CSX Railroad.
He is survived by his companion, Betty H. Hollins, and her daughters, Penni Holloway (David) and Ann Frederick; and his grand-stepson, Ritchie Toglio.
Memorials may be made to the USS Laffey Association, 2951 Colchester Ct., Abingdon, MD 21009.
