LCDR.David Eugene Rein (USN RET.)

LCDR David Eugene Rein, USN, Ret. 71, of Hanahan, SC, husband of Patricia E. Rein entered into eternal rest Friday, February 5, 2016 at his home A memorial service will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Fleet Reserve, 99 Wisteria Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Dave was born June 27, 1944 in Lewisberg, PA, son of the late Bright Burton Rein and Miriam Catherman Rein. He served 26 years in the Navy and received his degree from the University of South Carolina while on active duty. He was a former Senior Program Manager with Amee Bay, a government contracting firm. A talented musician, Davie played the guitar, sang and wrote music for the band, The Spastics. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve, #269.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia E. Rein; two sons; Bill Rein and Jonathan Rein (Kari); daughter; Brandy Rein; daughter-in-law, Leslie Mincey; brother, Dick Rein; sister, Gail Walston; five grandchildren: Marty Patrick Mincey, Cody Alexander Mincey, Tristin Layne Mincey, Amelia Ann Rein and Jack Edward Rein. He was preceded in death by his son, Marty W. Mincey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fleet Reserve Lowcountry Home #269, 99 Wisteria Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
