Lawrence English Wilson

Lawrence English Wilson, 92, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Mattie "Byrdie" Byrd Bunting Wilson entered into eternal rest Friday, December 23, 2016. His Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 in Seacoast Church, 2049 Savannah Hwy, at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Lawrence was born June 29, 1924 in Austin, Texas, son of the late Donald Oscar Wilson and Edna English Wilson. He was a retired Building Design Architect.

He is survived by his wife, Mattie "Byrdie" Byrd Wilson of San Antonio, TX; two sons, Lawrence "Cleve" Cleveland Wilson (Gail) of San Antonio, TX, Stephen English Wilson (Aimee Spana) of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Judy W. Galuppo (Philip) of Charleston, SC; two step-children, Paul Spellman (Suzy), Carol Olson (Eric); two sisters, Eileen Patterson, and Ruth Wilson both of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, Russell Ronald Wilson, Bree Ana Solieau (Jeff), Jay Clayton Wilson, Laura Faith West (Bryan), Sara Hope Galuppo, Kirsten Joy Galuppo; four step-grandchildren, Margaret Taylor (Noel), Madeleine Pittman (Joel), Kevin and Karl Olson; three great-grandchildren, Cora Louise Soileau, Braelyn Grace Glover, Eloise Truth Galuppo-Benke, one step-great-grandchild, William Schoolfield. Lawrence was predeceased by his two sons, Jay Carter and Guy Wesley Wilson.
