Lawrence Edward "Ed" Simmons

Lawrence Edward "Ed" Simmons, 55, of Huger, South Carolina, husband of Claudine Elizabeth Shuler Simmons entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his home. His funeral service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Mount Pleasant Chapel. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Ed was born March 4, 1966 in Laurel, Mississippi, son of Joann Shiyou Knight and the late Roy Shelton Knight. He worked in construction.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Claudine; sons, Jeff Jackson And his wife Jazmine and Shelton Simmons (Nicole); step-mother, Joann Knight; step-father, Johnny Ray Simmons; three brothers, David Simmons, Roy Knight, and Paul Knight; four sisters, Patricia Simmons Colubrov, Lela Simmons, Debbie Simmons, and Renee Ne'Case; and five grandchildren, Jada Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Novalee Simmons, and one on the way.
