Lawrence "Larry" Press, 69, of Ladson, South Carolina, husband of Shirley "Sam" Wood Press entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 8, 2019. His Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Larry was born July 22, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Richard Press and Margaret Schager. Larry was a retired veteran of 23 years of the United States Air Force, where he served as a Master Crew Chief and aircraft mechanic. He loved NASCAR and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. He adored spending time with his family and doting on his granddaughter, Emma.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, his son, Lawrence "Larry" Press, II of Summerville, SC; daughter, Jennifer Press and her finance Randy Donovan of Hanahan, SC; granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth-Rose Donovan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest daughter, Elizabeth Anne.
