Lavera Tindol Reynolds

Lavera Tindol Reynolds, 80, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Levy T. Reynolds, Jr., entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 22, 2018. The family will receive friends Friday, March 23, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy., at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Lavera was born August 14, 1937 in Macon, Georgia, daughter of the late Zollie Tindol and Lois Shephard Tindol Kitchens. She was a retired Charleston Naval Shipyard Civil Service Financial Auditor. Lavera was a member of Loyalty Chapter OES #136, five times Worthy Matron, Mother Advisor Emeritus and 30 years active service as Mother Advisor of Charleston Assembly #1, International Order of The Rainbow for Girls. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher starting at the age of 19 in the Children's department and also active in The Mission Groups.

She is survived by her daughters, Violet R. Cook (Christopher) of Pinopolis, SC, Valerie R. Weeks (Larry) of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Katie Bowers, Grace Chambliss both of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Cook, Benjamin Blake Weeks, Bethany Blair Weeks and many other Rainbow Daughters.
