The world was blessed with Lauren on July 2, 1993, in Mt Pleasant, South Carolina, daughter of Brian Patrick Head and Nancy Ruth Weber Head. She was a graduate of the College of Charleston where she earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Lauren was a beautiful shining light in a world of clouds, rain and darkness. She possessed a love that left a forever impact on the lives she came across. Her common response to being loved was “I love you more” and you knew she meant it because you felt the truth in it as she spoke. In particular, she LOVED her family, the families and children she cared for, the animals she rescued, nature and a new adventure. Children and animals gravitated to her soft presence and formed a loving bond to her. She had a passion for helping and serving the underdogs of the world. Strangers saw more than just a friend in Lauren. They saw her as family. She lived God’s vision of love for all and left none to spare. She was involved in her community, spending her free time volunteering at the Low Country Orphan Relief and she always "rounded up" to help any charity she had the chance to. She exemplified to all what true faith and hope is as a child of God, particularly during adversity, and was beloved by her church congregation. She fought an amazing battle with a ton of courage, positivity, strength and grace. What a beautiful gift to us all - a living example of the beauty found in the human spirit. She leaves behind a legacy etched into the hearts of everyone she touched, and will always be remembered as a fighter, a lover, and a beautiful woman this world was blessed to have.
In addition to her parents, Lauren is survived by her brother, Mitchell Patrick Head of Mount Pleasant; her grandmother, Margaret Weber of Warren, Ohio; her loving and cherished pets Tiger, Ella and Mr. Beans; and a number of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doyle Weber, Harold Dean Head and Dorothy Head.
