Laura Wrobel was called home to our Lord on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Born October 21, 1920 to William and Sophia Bonar, Laura, was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. For an abbreviated time, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Isle of Palms VFW. She also enjoyed the Mt. Pleasant Senior Center. She loved to shop, travel, play bingo and did tons of search-a-word books. She was passionate about her yard and flowers. She ejoyed walking her neighborhood and visiting neighbors new and old. She walked part of an electric run at the age of 92. She loved the Atlanta Braves - winning or losing. She was very active and did not like to sit still. Her motto was "Let's go."
Laura was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church since 1959.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sophia Bonar; sister Mary; brothers, Joe, Steve, and Eddie; and her husband John.
Laura is survived by her children, a daughter Pat Wrobel Bivins (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant, a daughter in Florida, a son in Texas. She loved all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren but was especially close to her first grandchild; Sharon and her family which included her first great grandchild, Abigail.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Meals on Wheels of East Cooper, PO Box 583, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29465.
