On Saturday, February 13, 2021, Laura Gladden, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at age 62.
Laura was born on December 27, 1958 in Sacramento, CA to Jerry and Dolly Thomason. She married Thomas Gladden on June 4, 1983. They raised two sons, Joey and Jerry. Laura took pride in her work at various Chevrolet dealerships throughout the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant, SC area.
Laura had a passion for spending time with her family and friends, though there was nothing in this world that she loved more than taking care of her three grandbabies. She also enjoyed cake decorating and had a particular knack for creating costume jewelry. Laura was known for her strong will, infectious laugh, and her willingness to always support those she loved.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, Jerry. She is survived by her mother, Dolly; her husband, Tommy; her two children, Joey (Carleigh) and Jerry (Hailey); her brother Tom (Valerie); her three grandchildren, Thomas, Malia and Hunter; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to current health conditions, a private funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Social distancing and face coverings will be encouraged. A livestream of the service will be available to the public at the following link:
