Laura Harrison Barker

Laura Harrison Barker, a resident of James Island, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, October 25th at her residence. She was 97 years old, and was a former AT&T employee who previously volunteered at Hospice of Charleston and her church.

Born in Newberry, SC, she is predeceased by her husband, Romain Edward Barker; and two of her four children, Michael Alan Barker and Donna Gail Barker. She is survived by two of her children, Elijah Vance Barker of Charlotte, and Romain Edward Barker, Jr. of Charleston; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Red Cross or Samaritan’s Purse.
