Entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 9, 2012, Lastenia Guevara Almstead, widow of George Merritt Almstead. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the graveside in Holy Cross Cemetery, Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10:00 am.
Mrs. Almstead was born January 28, 1921, in Panama City, Republic of Panama, the daughter of Carlos Guevara and Carmela Estanziola Guevara.
She is survived by her daughter: Laine A. Quinn and her husband Zennie of Charleston, SC; two granddaughters: Lisa Quinn and Katie Q. Clair and her husband Michael all of Charleston, SC. She is predeceased by a son, Robert Merritt Almstead.
