CMSgt. Larry Michael Brazil, USAF, Ret., 62, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Carolyn Still Brazil died Tuesday, December 22, 2015. His funeral service will be held Monday, December 28, 2015, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 11:00 am. The interment, with military honors, will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in BEAFORT NATIONAL CEMETERY at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. All uniformed officers of the North Charleston Police Department are requested to serve as honorary Pall Bearers.
Larry was born July 16, 1953 in Tacoma, WA, son of the late Gerald Wayne Brazil and the late Nancy Lou Knutson Brazil. He retired after 30 years of service in the US Air Force. He was also a retired North Charleston Police Officer, Mason, fan of Nascar and Harley-Davidson. Larry was a concealed weapons permit instructor, assigned to Air Force One under President Clinton.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brazil of North Charleston, SC; three daughters: Carrie (Bertrand) Moultrie of Pierce, WA, Jenny (Jason Hole) Brazil of Heyward, WI and Leslie Evans of Hampton, VA; step-son, Kenneth Richardson; two step-daughters, Laura Richardson and Jamie Richardson all of North Charleston, SC; six grandchildren.
