Lance Austin Nilsen, 34, of Awendaw, SC, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The family will receive friends Monday, May 11, 2015 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Austin was born May 25, 1980 in Charleston, SC, son of Lance Elliott Nilsen and Dale Cahill Nilsen. He graduated from Wando High School in 1998 and attended Trident Technical College. He worked for Windward Shutters as an installer. Lance loved spending time with his children, fishing and ice hockey especially since he played with the Jr. Stingrays Team.

He is survived by parents, Lance and Dale Nilsen of Awendaw, SC; son, Lance Austin Nilsen and daughter, Anabelle Eliza Nilsen both of Mount Pleasant, SC; sister, Amy Nilsen; brother, Jonathan Nilsen both of Awendaw, SC; maternal grandmother, Ann Molony Cahill of Mount Pleasant, SC; nine aunts and uncles; twelve cousins and his favorite friend, Feva, his Border Collie.
