Lamont Dwight Chaplin

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of May 30, 2011 following complications due to an aortic aneurysm, Lamont Dwight Chaplin of Hollywood, SC.  Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Thursday, June 2, 2011, at 9 am.  Burial will follow at Chaplins Cemetery, Chisolm Road, Johns Island.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Wednesday afternoon from 5 until 8 pm.

Mr. Chaplin was born on March 9, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Lee Chaplin and the late Emily Heaton Chaplin.  He was a retired Lineman Technician with Southern Bell and a member of Bell South Pioneers.  Lamont was a member of Rantowles Baptist Church and an avid outdoorsman.

Surviving are his son, Darryl Chaplin and his wife Tina of Hollywood; daughter, Wendy Towne and her husband Jeremy of Mountain House, CA; fianc�e, Marcia Beczynski; brother, Robert Lee Chaplin, Jr. and his wife Lois of Hollywood; six grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.  Lamont was predeceased by a brother William Heaton "Bill" Chaplin.
