Lacy Clements Sidbury III, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Joan Epting Sidbury entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 29, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 11:00 a.m.

Lacy was born September 1, 1947 in Wilmington, North Carolina, son of the late Lacy C. Sidbury, Jr. and the late Leola Edwards Sidbury. He graduated from the High School of Charleston. He was a retired police officer with the City of Charleston. He inherited his love for the lowcountry waters from his parents, and he was happiest when he was fishing, shrimping, and oystering.

In addition to his wife of 36 years, Joan, he is survived by his son, Lacy C. Sidbury of Johns Island; and sister-in-law, Linda E. Nelson of Columbia.
