CMSgt Kyriakos Aslanidis, USAF (Ret.), 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Stavroula Sakoglou Aslanidis, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 1, 2013. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. The Trisagion Prayer (Thrice Holy Hymn Prayers) will be said at 6:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Kyriakos was born April 28, 1935, in Katerini, Greece, son of the late Stilianos Aslanidis and the late Despina Gelastopoulos Aslanidis. He was a Vietnam veteran, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force after serving 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Stavroula of Charleston; his daughter, Gloria Aslanidis of Charleston; his son, Steve Aslanidis and his wife, Angel Lee of Millersville, PA; and grandchildren, Stavroula Aslanidis and Kyriakos Aslanidis.
