Kyle Norwood Wiggins, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Marjorie Donaldson Wiggins entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 21, 2014. His funeral service will be held Saturday, August 23 in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, James Island. The family will receive friends before the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel.Kyle was born in Macon, Georgia, son of the late W. Carl Wiggins, Sr. and Adele Cameron Wiggins. He attended Furman University. He retired as Vice President of Purity Ice Cream Company, which he owned and operated with his brother, W. Carl "Bud" Wiggins, Jr., after purchasing it from his father. Kyle was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church where he served as deacon and choir member. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Kyle was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Lanier Wiggins, in 1988.He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, Stephen K. Wiggins (Susan) of Lexington, SC; daughters, Carol W. Leyh of James Island, SC, Teresa W. James of James Island, SC, Christi W. McCollum (Rick) of Elgin, SC, and Elizabeth W. Switzer (Jeff) of James Island, SC; step-daughter, Debra Jodoin; sisters, Pat W. Brock (Charles) of Greenville, SC, Sue W. Davis (Harold) of Atlanta, GA, Brenda W. Myers (Jon) of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, James Wiggins (Lindsey), Erin Wiggins, Austin Wiggins, Jeffrey Leyh (Ashley), Walter "Buddy" James, Jr., Justin James, Alex McCollum, Emily McCollum, Hannah Switzer, and Hailey Switzer; and two great-grandchildren, Landon Wiggins and Sadie Wiggins.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.Friends may call at the home of the Switzer's; 624 White Chapel Circle, James Island, SC.
