KiKi Ventros Vierschilling of Charleston, SC, widow of the later Mr. Henry W. Vierschilling, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the West Ashley Chapel one hour prior to the service. Burial services will be held later in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
KiKi was born September 30, 1922 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late Mike J. Ventros and Mary Kangalos Ventros and was a graduate of Shaw High School in Cleveland, OH and Rice Business College in Norfolk, VA. A longtime communicant of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Mrs. Vierschilling started and directed the Greek Adult and Youth Choral Group there. KiKi is survived by her son, Paul H. Vierschilling and his wife Teresa of Malta, NY; two grandsons: John Vierschilling of Douglasville, GA and Joseph Vierschilling and his son Cristian of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; three granddaughters: Christine Mott, her husband Thomas and daughters: Kaitlyn, Sarah, Grace and Julia of High Bridge, NJ, Tracey Drange, her husband Mikal and children: Marissa and Nicholas of Albany, NY and Kirsten Dreggors and her husband Gerald of Satellite Beach, FL; brother-in-law, George Vierschilling of Parsippany, NJ and his daughter Patricia of Montclair, NJ; nephew, Robert Vierschilling, his wife Deborah and son Stephen of Whiting, NJ; nieces: Karen Vierschilling DeSantis, her husband James and children: Lauren and James of Toms River, NJ, Judy Vierschilling McMahon, her husband William and their seven children of Reading PA, Ginny Vierschilling Einfeldt, her husband Paul and daughter Sharon of Oak Island, NC, Laverne Sparks of Oak Island, NC and her daughter, Theresa Gubler, her husband Russell and children: Augusta and Thomas of Heber City, UT, Karie Knudson, her husband Yen and daughters: Kate and Freida of Marietta, GA; cousins: Virginia Kramer of North Haven, CT and son Alexander and his wife Kathy of Charlotte, NC, Olga Lawendales, her husband Stellios and son Stephen and wife Kappy and children from Marietta, GA, Anita Howard, her husband David and daughters: Brittany and Alexis of Marietta, GA, Van Moshos and daughters: Victoria and Beth of Moorestown, NJ, Tina Pappas and her husband Milton of New York, NY, Olga Welis of Lorain, OH; godsons: Demetrios Jim Palassis and his wife Cookie of Hollywood, SC, Dr. Vincent Pangalos and his wife Billy of Cincinnati, OH, Kenneth Creticos of Columbia, SC and Demetre Palassis of Charleston, SC; goddaughter, Karen Upton and her husband David of Charlotte, NC; god-sister, Maria Gary of New York, NY; numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; and dear friends Daniel and Andrea Carabus and their beautiful children who were as much family as anyone listed above and who loved her and stood with and for her for many years.
