Born August 29, 1969 in Charleston, SC. Kevin was the son of Thomas A. Cox, Sr. and Carol Ruggles Cox. He was a shipping manager for MeadWestvaco.

Survivors include his wife, Sutton Lyles Cox; a son, Kevin Christopher Cox, Jr.; a daughter, Rowena "Sissy" Sutton Cox; a brother, Thomas Allen Cox, Jr. and wife "Billie" of Goose Creek, SC; a sister, Christi Cox Kilcoyne and husband "Big John" of Summerville, SC; a niece, Chelsea Anne Kilcoyne; two nephews, Thomas Jacob Cox and John Michael Kilcoyne; an uncle, Michael Lee Cox and aunt, Carolyne Doris Cox both of Awendaw, SC; and cousins, Jennifer Cox Carter of Monck's Corner and Julie Cordrey Deaton of Summerville, SC.
