Kerry B. Cook

Kerry B. Cook, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Beaufort SC, with her children by her side. Kerry died after a long and brave battle with multiple myeloma. 

Kerry B. Cook was born on April 1, 1946 to the late Michael and Winifred Burke of Hull, East Yorkshire, England. Kerry moved to the United States when she was 18 years old and began her career as an airline stewardess. In 1991, Kerry started working with the Town of Mt Pleasant and retired after 21 years of dedication. Kerry was a talented and creative artist. As an artist, she was always finding ways to express her creativity. She specifically had a love and passion for painting. Kerry shared and gifted her art as an expression for her love and gratitude to many people, including friends and family. Kerry was a beloved member of St. Andrews Church in Mt. Pleasant and had a strong love for Jesus. 

Kerry was predeceased by her parents, Winifred and Michael Burke; brother-in-law Tom Cross, and brother-in-law, Johnny Johnston. She is survived by her daughter, Joanna Jacobs (Jeff) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, Michael Cook (Jenny) of Mt. Pleasant; her four grandchildren, Jake Rhodes, Makayla Cook, Claire Cook, Colin Cook; her 3 sisters, Pat Cross, Julie Johnston, and Peggy (Paul) Simpson; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. 

Kerry will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. A service to remember Kerry will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 3:00pm, at St Andrew's Church, 440 Whilden St, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
