Kent Lloyd Wise

Kent Lloyd Wise, 73, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Kathleen M. Wise entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 9, 2020. A service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
Kent was born April 14, 1946 in Herington, Kansas, a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Wise and Constance Kathryn Weber Wise. Kent's lengthy career as an executive in retail management included employment with TG&Y, McCrory and Ben Franklin Stores.
He was a hardworking self-starter and "on the job type" of man. Kent was extremely motivated, committed to hard work and dedicated to providing for his family. He would travel and work all week long and then find time on the weekends to tackle multiple projects such as building tree houses or balance beams while also attending his kids' swimming meets. Kent's mid-western roots gave him the determination and values he needed to be a successful husband, father and businessman. He loved his family, cars, airplanes and his dogs!
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. Wise of Charleston, SC; daughter, Kelley Lynn Martin of Charleston, SC; son, Scott Wise (Erica) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Kendall and Logan Martin of Charleston, SC and Tanner and Piper Wise of Tampa, FL; sister, Carol Schmidt (William) and Brother, Allen Wise, all of Wichita, KS.
Kent was preceded in death by his wife of over 45 years, Nancy Diane Wise; his parents and his brother, Lynn Wise.
