Kenneth J. Zomer, 57, of Hanahan, South Carolina, husband of Cathy Rosamond Zomer, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family. His Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 2:00pm at Restoration Community Church, 6058 Miami St., Hanahan, SC 29410. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. NORTHWOODS Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Ken was born August 5, 1965 in Abington, Pennsylvania, son of the late John F. Zomer and Rosemarie A. Colyar Zomer.  He worked most of his career as a machinist at Robert Bosch Engineering.  Ken was an AVID fan of all things Philadelphia Eagles and loved all sports in general.  He was the kind of guy who knew just about everything regarding stats, records, lineups, etc., and would love to sit and talk sports with anyone.  In his free time, he loved to play golf and enjoyed being outdoors.  He loved to work in the back yard and enjoyed relaxing by the pool, listening to music.  Ken was the kind of person who never met a stranger.  He was kind and caring, was very funny, good-humored and had a big, big heart. Most of all, Ken loved his family.  He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; one daughter, Caroline Zomer; one granddaughter, Emerson Zomer; five siblings, John G. (Debra) Zomer, Rosemarie (Bob) Lawless, Delores (Mike) Johnson, Patrick (Kim) Zomer, and Valerie (Scott) Barrineau; eleven nieces and nephews, Randy Morgan, Robert Lawless, Kristen Lawhon, Erica Loa, Jamie Anderson,  Anna Zomer, Jackson Zomer, Sarah Zomer, Nicholas Zomer, Daniel Zomer and Glen Jeansonne, III; seven great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Diane Zomer.
