Kenneth Robert "Bing" Rankin, 80, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Maryanne Elizabeth Rankin died Thursday, September 13, 2012.
Bing was born June 30, 1932 in Lancaster, PA, son of Myles W. Rankin and Anna L. Gardner Rankin. He was a Steeple Jack for H. S. Zimmerman Company and Ted Howe of Lancaster, PA. He was a US Army veteran. He was a handy man and clean-up man while in SC.
He is survived by his spouse of 38 years, Maryanne Rankin of Goose Creek, SC; son, Kenneth Rankin (Cindy) of Topeka, KS; daughters, Connie Dyckmans (John) of Moncks Corner, SC and Lisa Ann Taska Rowe Logan (Tony) of Lancaster, PA; brother, Holly D. Rankin of Lancaster, PA; sisters, Corneilia Rankin of KY and Betty R. Hughes (Steve) of Ephrata, PA, grandchildren: Peggy Bronaugh Lehman, Jessica Lynn Rankin, Kenneth Robert Cody Rankin; great-granddaughters: Marydeary Bronaugh Lehman and Cianan Bronaugh Lehman; nieces and nephews; former spouse and friend, Peggy L. Lefever; and most beloved dear friend Tommy Kirchner of Lancaster, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Kenneth R. Rankin, Jr., brother, Sonny Rankin and sister, Mary Rankin.
