Kenneth Wood McLendon

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Kenneth Wood McLendon, who passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2025, at the age of 95.

Born in Rhine, Georgia, to Henry Bert McLendon and Janie Rowell McLendon, Kenneth was one of ten siblings and was preceded in death by his five sisters and four brothers.

A devoted husband, he was married to Elizabeth Risher McLendon for 64 wonderful years. Together, they built a beautiful family, and he is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Kenneth had a strong work ethic and was a loyal employee of Piggly Wiggly Carolina, dedicating over 40 years of service. Outside of work, he was a proud member of the Elks Lodge, where he formed lifelong friendships.

Kenneth was a man of unwavering kindness, patience, and a great sense of humor. Known for his gentle spirit, his presence was a source of comfort and wisdom to those around him. His life was a testament to perseverance, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family and friends.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
