Kenneth "Kenny" McKnight, 57, of Ladson, SC entered into eternal rest Friday, August 25, 2017.
Kenny was born November 8, 1959 in Elgin Air Force Base, FL, son of Shirley Ann McKnight and the late Warren A. McKnight. He is survived by his mother, Shirley A. McKnight; three sisters: Peggy Howard (Charles) of Quitman, GA, Cheryl Jones (Mark) of Kansas City, MO and Susie McKnight Adams of North Charleston, SC; niece, Christy; nephew, Patrick and loving companion, Alesia Rogers.
Kenny was a dedicated son, brother, friend, co-worker and employee. He was a Boiler Plant Operator at the VA Medical Center for 23 years and previously worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Kenny was a force to be reckoned with at work or play. He was masterful at all tasks set before him. He greatly enjoyed local drag racing as a lifelong hobby. He was a strong competitor on the track and an amazing mechanic. Kenny also leaves behind many special friendships formed and fostered from his childhood years till present day. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and love him.
His Celebration of Life was held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
