Kenneth Rinehart Kavanaugh

Kenneth Rinehart Kavanaugh, 84 of Seabrook Island, Sc, husband of Gail Cook Kavanaugh, peacefully entered the Church Triumphant on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Ken was born October 31, 1939, in Vicksburg, MS, a son of the late James Vardaman and Beth Rinehart Kavanaugh.

Ken was a proud graduate of Mississippi State (Go Bulldogs!). He retired in 2000 after a 40 year career in the insurance services industry.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Gail; his son, Ken Jr of North Carolina; his daughter, JoBeth of Madison, GA; his beloved grandchildren: Trey and his fiancé, Ashley of Charlotte, NC; August of Savannah; Kennedy of New Orleans, LA; and Kaylee of South Carolina. He also leaves behind his two dear nephews, John and Frederick; and numerous friends and golfing buddies.

Ken was predeceased by his parents and brother, Francis.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held Saturday, June 8th in Johns Island Presbyterian Church, 2550 Bohicket Rd, at 10:30am. Following the service a reception will follow.
