Kenneth Allen Hutcheson

Kenneth Allen Hutcheson, 83, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, formerly of Bay Shore, New York, died on Monday, March 26, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife Anita Corke Hutcheson. He will be dearly missed by his children Carolyn (Bried) and Kathleen (Palmentiero), along with their spouses Steve Bried and Dave Palmentiero, and his six loving grandchildren, David, Margaux, and Caroline Palmentiero, and Christopher, Will, and Kate Bried. His funeral service was held at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Ken boarded at St. Paul's Episcopal School for Boys in Garden City, New York and graduated in 1953. He attended Bucknell University and graduated from Hofstra University. He was retired as Assistant Treasurer of Long Island Lighting Company and was active in the business community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Island Federal Credit Union and the President's Advisory Board of Hofstra University for many years. He was Treasurer of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bay Shore. His first passion was his family and his second was the Bay Shore Yacht Club and boating on the Great South Bay-Captain "Seaweed" with his three female mates on board. Ken lived most of his life on Long Island, moving to Mount Pleasant nine years ago.
