Kenneth William Barnes

Kenneth William Barnes, loving father, passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 2, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, Kenneth's journey through life was marked by dedication and service.

Ken pursued his education at Monmouth College, where he laid the foundation for a successful career in building materials sales. Throughout his professional life, he was known for his work ethic and commitment to excellence, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

In addition to his career, Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. His military service instilled in him values of dedication, honor, and community service, which he carried throughout his life.

Ken was a devoted family man, survived by his two beloved sons, Brett Barnes (Melody Yale) and Chris Barnes (Dee Dee), who were a source of great pride for him. His legacy also lives on through his four cherished grandchildren, Jack, Alex, Will, and Ben, who brought endless joy and laughter into his life.

Ken's beloved dog, Gumbo, was a faithful companion who brought him comfort and joy during his later years.

Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Alexander Barnes; and parents, William and Sally Cole Barnes.

Ken William Barnes will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends, as they hold on to the many cherished moments spent together.
