Kelvin "Chip" Darryl Owens, 54, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Carole Hill Owens entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 27, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held at the graveside on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Chip was born January 13, 1963 in Charleston, SC, son of Harold William Owens and Elizabeth Giggleman Owens. He was a Finishing Department Supervisor with W.R. Hunt Cabinets and Millwork until his retirement. Chip served as a football and baseball coach for Sea Island Academy. He also was a baseball coach for Low Country Little League. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carole Hill Owens; two sons, Chase Parker Owens, and Cory William Owens all of Johns Island, SC parents, Harold William and Elizabeth Giggleman Owens; two brothers, Harold William Owens, Jr., (Darlene) of Charleston, SC, Kenneth Ray Owens (Linda) of Johns Island, SC; four nieces and nephews, Tabatha Bollenberg, Miles Owens, Kenneth Ray Owens, Jr., and Debbie Owens.
