Kelly Marie Zak Meeks

Kelly Marie Zak Meeks, 35, of Sumter, SC, wife of Brian Matthew Meeks, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Kelly was born September 9, 1976 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of Alvin Stanley Zak and Kathleen Devlin Zak Lollis. She graduated from Bishop England High School, attended Newberry College and received her bachelors degree from the College of Charleston. She was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She is survived by her husband Brian Matthew Meeks of Sumter, SC; father, Alvin Stanley Zak (Flo) of North Charleston; mother, Kathy Marie Lollis (Wes) of Fountain Inn, SC; mother-in-Law, Doris Meeks of North Charleston; father-in-law, Edward J. Meeks (Barbara) of England; son, Jeremy Meeks of Sumter, SC; daughter, Sierra Meeks of Sumter, SC; and sisters, Jodi Zak-St. John of Missoula, MT and Marci Zak of Charleston. She was predeceased by a son, Nathan Thomas Meeks.
