Keith N. Hess

Keith Hess, age 66, passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2025, at East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC after a three-week illness. He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on September 20, 1958 the loving son of Mervin and Reba Hess. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School where he enjoyed playing baseball, football and gymnastics. He earned his Associate of Arts and Sciences (AA) degree from Central College in McPhearson, Kansas. Keith worked as a service technician for Sears Holdings Corporation from June1991 until he retired in June of 2024.

Keith became involved in Celebrate Recovery at Seacoast church in 2006 and served faithfully as one of the leaders until his passing. Through this ministry Keith mentored and encouraged countless individuals leading humbly by sharing his own experience. In addition, Keith and his wife Deanie led a small group in their home.

Keith is survived by his wife Deanie Hess; two step sons, Jake Berenyi (Rebecca) and Ike Berenyi; and a step-granddaughter, Maddie Berenyi. Also, in addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Marcy Goehrig (Mike), and Larene Miller; and nieces and nephews, Kim Stoltzfus (Glen), Garett Miller (Kathleen), Alex Miller (Donovan Brown) and Hunter Miller; and a great-niece Harper Miller.
