Keith Richard Bennis

Keith Richard Bennis, 43, of Hanahan, SC, and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, October 17, 2013. His memorial service will be held Sunday, October 27, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends in Mt. Pleasant Chapel immediately following the service.

Keith was born on February 7, 1970 in Warwick, Rhode Island, son of the late Rear Admiral Richard Ellis Bennis, USCG and Gloria Smith Bennis. He was a graduate of the College of Charleston and retired from the MUSC Transplant Center where he worked as a statistical analyst and researcher.

He is survived by his mother of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister, Wendy Westberry (Ryan) of Aiken, SC; brother, Timothy Bennis (Jacki) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nieces, Ella Westberry and Molly Westberry both of Aiken, SC; nephews, Nicholas Bennis and Nathan Bennis both of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Keith was predeceased by his wife Tammy Rowland Bennis.
