Kay Elizabeth Boyette Willingham

Kay Elizabeth Boyette Willingham, 80, of Mount Pleasant, SC, widow of Kenneth Rodney Willingham entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 8, 2022. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm. Inurnment to follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.

Kay was born November 22, 1941 and grew up in Lyman, SC. She was the daughter of the late John Vernon Boyette, Sr. and the late Eva Correll Christopher Boyette. While attending Winthrop College she met and married her husband Ken; they were married 60 years. She completed her bachelor's degree at The Citadel and taught at First Baptist Church School. Kay was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Charleston and enjoyed her membership in the Alhambra Garden Club.

She is survived by her brother, John Vernon Boyette, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Greer, SC, Toni W. Warren, a sister-in-law, of Newberry, SC and many nieces and nephews. Her many wonderful friends were like family to her.
