Kay Smith Chaddick, 80, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home after a battle with lung cancer. Her Funeral Service will be private and a visitation will be held at the home on Saturday, February 18, 2017 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Kay was born August 2, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late Joseph Edward Smith and the late Ivy Hamann Smith. She graduated from St. Andrews High School and attended the University of South Carolina. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Chaddick; two sons, Jeffrey Ohman (wife, Mary Jo) and Bradford McCarthy; a daughter, Katherine McCarthy; a step daughter, Nancy Blair Parr (husband, D.B.); four grandchildren, Katherine and Eric Ohman and Boyd and Louis Parr; a sister, Bea Smith Malecki (husband, Joe); a sister-in-law, Jean Howe Ansen (husband, George); and many cherished cousins and friends.
