Kathy Barton Watson

Kathy Barton Watson, 61, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 13, 2014. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 2:00 pm.
Kathy was born November 5, 1952 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Robert T. Barton and the late Katie Fenn Barton. She was previously an interpreter for the deaf with the Charleston County School District. Due to Kathy being such a generous person, her home was always open to friends and family. She was very passionate about supporting pet charities.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Christopher Watson (Amy) of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Janice K. Barton of North Charleston and Linda B. Carlow (Roy) of Ladson; nephews and nieces, Brian, Jeff, Karen and Beth; a grandson, Isaac Barton Watson; and a granddaughter, Mary Katherine Watson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
