Kathryn Mitchum Watson

Kathryn Mitchum Watson, 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of the late Robert M. Watson Sr., entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Kathryn was born September 21, 1933 in Bethera, Berkeley County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Samuel H. Mitchum and the late Bernice Chambers Mitchum. She was a longtime member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Kathryn retired from GMAC and Marchant Chevrolet. 

She is survived by her son, Robert Michael Watson Jr. of Lexington, SC; her friend and care taker, Clara Martin; her sister, Innis Evers; her devoted cousin, Skip Chambers; her 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Susan Marie Watson and Michelle Orr.
