Kathryn Malone Lemon

Kathryn Malone Lemon, 57, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Her Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 in the Old St. Andrew's Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Road at 11:00am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Kathryn was born June 1, 1967 in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of the late Michael Taylor Malone and the late Ann Gardner Malone Miller. She was raised in Hartsville, SC, and was an alumnus of Hartsville High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wofford College, and a master’s degree in psychology from Clemson University. She was an educator for over 30 years, and a school counselor. She was an advocate, a dependable friend, and had a great sense of humor. She was a musician and piano teacher, a lover of the outdoors, a parishioner at Old St. Andrew’s Parish Church, and a member of the Elk’s Lodge. She was married to Henry Martyn Lemon for 27 years. In the last year, she was supported by many dear friends, especially Mike Fremen. Most of all, she was an incredible mother.

She is survived by two sons, Martyn Brace Lemon, Jonathan Taylor Lemon; two brothers, Daniel Malone (sons Christopher and George), Michael Malone (wife Abbe, sons Gabriel, Mackenzie, Colton) and stepmother, Ann Huntley Malone.
