Kathryn Smith Goertzen, 71, of Mandeville, Louisiana wife of James David Goertzen died Sunday, May 20, 2018. Her Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 7:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 pm until time of the service.
Kathryn was born July 18, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee, daughter of Aline Mason Smith and the late J. Lewis Smith, Jr. She worked as a respiratory therapist, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a talented artist who enjoyed silks, ceramics, watercolors, and birds.
In addition to her mother and husband, Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Katie Seaman of Mandeville, LA, and Aline Seaman of Greenville, NC; two step-daughters, Denise Landry and Dawn Roberts, both of Houma, LA; two grandsons, Charles Reid Mazzetti, and Nolan Williams; and her brothers, David Smith, Mason Smith, and Tripp Smith, all of Mount Pleasant, SC.
