Kathryn McGriff Fussell

Kathryn McGriff Fussell, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Sunday, February 30, 2011.  The relatives and friends of Kathryn Fussell are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, Georgia at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be private. Local arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  Arrangements in Hawkinsville, Georgia by Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Kathryn was born on August 24, 1922 in Hawkinsville, Georgia, daughter of the late David Patrick McGriff, Sr. and Georgia Jelks McGriff.  She retired as a case worker for the Department of Family and Children's Services. She was a member of Hawkinsville First Baptist Church, Hawkinsville, Georgia. She is survived by her daughter, Georgia Murphy of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Joshua H. and his wife, Kelly Murphy of Charleston, SC and Kristian M. and her husband, Michael Ebert, Jr., of Charleston, SC; brother, David Patrick Jr. and his wife, Margaret McGriff of Columbus, GA; a cousin, Freeman R. "Bucky" and his wife, Becky O'Neal of Columbus, GA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Julian Rufus Fussell, III. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church "Building Fund", P.O.
