Katherine Faye Vandertill

Katherine "Kay" Tidwell Vandertill, 90, wife of the late Donald S. Vandertill of Isle of Palms, SC passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Hospice of Charleston. She lived for 7 years at Franke at Seaside in Mt. Pleasant, SC. 

Katherine was born on December 12, 1919 in Crowley, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Icem McLendon Tidwell and Lora McKeller Tidwell.  She was a homemaker and a part-time real estate agent.  She loved to travel internationally with her husband and visited many countries.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the local Ex-POW chapter.

She is survived by one daughter, Myrna Nicolette and her husband, Harold, of the Isle of Palms, SC; one son, Michael Vandertill and his wife, Pamela Klein, of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; one sister, Patsy Simpson of Weatherford, Texas; and five grandchildren, Travis Nicolette of Asheville, NC; Trey, Tara, Taylor, and Timothy Nicolette, all of Charleston, SC.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The relatives and friends of Katherine Vandertill are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, December 4, 2010 in the J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at three o'clock p.m.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from one o'clock until three o'clock p.m.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
