Katherine Cohen Scardato, 51,died peacefully, Saturday, April 7 at her home in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina surrounded by her loving family. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will greet friends at the chapel on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be a memorial service at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Georgia on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2 o'clock pm.
She was born November 2, 1960 in Waynesboro, Georgia and was one of four children born to Mimi and Porter Cohen. She was a graduate of Edmund Burke Academy and the University of Georgia. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, Augusta, Georgia. She was employed by The Xerox Corporation for over 14 years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scardato is survived by her husband, Michael and stepchildren Steven and Liza. She is also survived by sisters, Mildred Cohen Coleman and husband Charles, Mary Cohen Wills and husband John, and her brother James Barrett Cohen and wife Debbie. She was a devoted aunt to six nieces, three nephews, two great nieces, and five great nephews.
